Genesis 37-41
1. Unfair Situations - The first blow
--Joseph was hated, hurt, despised, and abused. Genesis 37
2. Undesired Setback - blow number two
--falsely accused, fiercely arrested, forgotten and alone. Genesis 39
• Just when you think you're settling in from the first blow, the
second hits in full force.
3. Unwavering Shelter
--God is not blind, he was with Joseph through every bitter experience
4. Unseen Sovereignty
Genesis 41:51- Manasseh's name summarizes Joseph's victory over
bitterness. "God hath made me forget..."
God can give you the victory and ability to forget the bitter
experience and to focus on the fruit that he brings through the right
response to a trial.
